May Fete: Our annual celebration will be held Friday, May 4, 11AM on the Garth (22nd Street). Students in PK-4th grade will be performing dances themed, “Don’t Stop Believin’-Song of the 80s”. The honored 5th grade class will be performing the traditional May Pole dance. School dismisses at Noon from the classrooms. There will be no Extended Day nor Stay & Play. Campus will be closed at 12:30PM.

Leslie Otto Flower Memorial: We will also remember Leslie Otto on Friday, May 4 at the start of the day. Each student should bring a handful of flowers or greenery to contribute to their class wreath. Each wreath will be displayed on the Cloister for the May Fete audience to enjoy during the program. -TLW

Teacher Appreciation Week is approaching! We will celebrate this event the week of May 7. We are planning a nice week for our faculty/staff. The Athletic Banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 2 at 6PM in the MAC. This banquet, a pot-luck meal, will honor our athletes for this year who participated in soccer, basketball, volleyball, softball, and cheerleading. Art Showcase: The TES Spring Arts Showcase is scheduled for Monday, May 21, 5:30-6:30PM in the MAC. Please drop by to help celebrate the various artistic talents of K-8 Trinity students. The showcase will include displays of studio art created under the direction of TES art teacher Florence Noyes, and musical performances under the direction of TES music teacher, Laura Hyatt. We do request your cooperation in helping us maintain an environment respectful of the students’ hard work and accomplishments.

2018 Vacation Bible School! Monday through Friday, 9:00am to Noon, June 4th-8th. Shipwrecked: Rescued by Jesus. VBS is open to children from age 4 through rising 5thgrade. The $10 registration fee includes daily snacks, sciencey gizmos and games, water day, songs, stories, making new friends and learning the Word of God! Registration now in the church Office! VBS VOLUNTEERS: It takes over 50 volunteers to put on our VBS, so junior and senior high students and adults are encouraged to help out. (Rising 6th graders and up) Get your service hours for next year done! Youth volunteers must also register, but not pay a fee.

The Iowa Assessment for grades K-8 begins. Punctuality will be a must due to the disruptiveness late arrivals cause to those already testing. Please remember that students who arrive late will not be allowed to go to class until the test has ended and missing sections of the test will result in incomplete test scores for your child. Students should arrive at school before the morning bell rings at 8:00 AM. Results will be shared with you during parent conferences at the end of May. Thank you for your support.

Reminder-Daylight Saving: Spring forward! Saturday, March 10, before you hit the sack set your clock forward an hour. Daylight saving time begins on Sunday, March 11.

Re-enrollment: All completed contracts that were submitted with payments as of 3/1/18 have been processed and those spaces are confirmed for 2018-2019 school year. There are a few contracts still pending because payment and/or Extended Day forms have not been received. Enrollment confirmation emails have been sent out. Stations of the Cross: Our Annual Easter Celebration chapel service will be on Thursday, March 29. Our 6th Graders will display their artistic interpretations of the Stations while 8th Graders present the dramatic readings.

Easter Holidays: School will be closed on Friday, March 30, and Monday, April 2. These are holidays for Good Friday and Easter Monday, respectively. School will resume on Tuesday, April 3.

Daylight Saving: Spring forward! Saturday, March 10, before you hit the sack set your clock forward an hour. Daylight saving time begins on Sunday, March 11.

Spring Break: We will dismiss for Spring Break Friday, March 9. Spring Break is March 12 -16. Classes will resume on Monday, March 19.

Re-enrollment: All completed contracts that were submitted with payments as of 3/1/18 have been processed and those spaces are confirmed for 2018-2019 school year. There are a few contracts still pending because payment and/or Extended Day forms have not been received. Enrollment confirmation emails have been sent out. New Sibling Priority Deadline is Here: New siblings, as well as first-time faculty/staff children, have priority until this Monday, February 26. Admissions Update: Our Open House events held over the past two weeks for prospective student were awesome! Last week’s Kindergarten Open House was well attended. We had the interest of several new families. Thank you to our “hosting committee” for being on-hand to greet, entertain, tour and inform our guests that evening: Mark Ravelli, Amy Gaido, Francie Buergler, Arden Cragar, Vashti Thompson, Rachel Brown, Patti Munoz, Catherine Garrison, Jocelyn Sullivan and her children (Ella/6th, Mallie Jaymes/3rd, and Delaney/2nd), TES Student Ambassadors (Jane Charpentier/8th, Maddie Pattillo/8th and Sara Gabriel/8th). Yesterday’s PK2-8 Grade Open House event yielded continuous traffic all day with lots of interest for multiple grade levels. Thank you to Amy Gaido and Chloe Knauer for assisting all day with tours and pre-event preparations; Donna Cucco for organizing student volunteers for both events; Randy Woods, Roland and Rosa Mora for helping with set-up for both events; and more TES Ambassadors who did another fabulous job representing our school as they provided campus tours; Megan Maxwell, Mac Livanec, Maggie Cragar, Ryan Dorado, Maddie Haver, Maggie Farmer, Abby Pruns and Bethany Janson. Again, it takes a team to successfully host these events and a wonderful team we have.
