FOURTH GRADE PRESENTS TEXAS LIVING HISTORY MUSEUM The classes of Mrs. Newton & Ms. Sader presented their Annual Texas Living History Museum and it was a showcase of our state's best & brightest! These kids did an amazing job honing their public speaking skills and polishing their presentations.

A NEW FRIEND FOR MRS. FIELD'S KINDERGARTEN CLASS Recently, Mrs. Fields's Kindergarten Class learned all about hermit crabs. The Fields family brought their pets to class to explore what these crabs were all about!

FLAMINGO FEST IN DOWNTOWN DISTRICT ON MAY 27 The district will host the 4th Annual Flamingo Fest Golf Cart Parade and Pub Crawl on May 27, 2023. We invite all golf carts, scooters & bicycles to join the district merchants as we parade through Postoffice District, celebrating National Pink Flamingo Day. We are celebrating early this year in an attempt to beat the heat of June. TRINITY STUDENTS GET A LESSON IN FINANCIAL LITERACY Thank you to Dennis Byrd and our third grade teachers Ms. Debbie Rushing and Mrs. Stacy Wisner for organizing Financial Literacy Day at The Spot! We also want to thank the Carnes Family and Galveston Limousine for transporting our students. TES third graders got a behind-the-scenes look at operations at Island Famous and learned how to diligently invest their money.

Due to incredibly strong demand for admittance to Trinity, we are asking that all current families wishing to apply for a new sibling to join Trinity fill out our inquiry form as soon as possible. We will begin accepting priority enrollment applications on Thursday, December 1, 2022. COMMUNITY SPOTLIGHT GALVESTON RESTAURANT WEEK Galveston Restaurant Week brings the island’s vibrant food scene to life from January 9 to February 5, 2023. Several Galveston restaurants will participate in this event, which is a once-a-year opportunity for diners to try top dishes on prix-fixe breakfast, lunch and dinner menus at attractive price points.
MLK DAY PARADE The Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. parade to honor his legacy will begin on Saturday, January 14 at 1 p.m. near 29th Street and Church. From there, the procession will continue south down 29th Street to Avenue R 1/2, then east to 28th Street, where they will finish near Menard Park and the McGuire Dent Recreation Center. Residents and visitors are invited to come to watch the parade along the route. ARTWALK Join downtown artists, businesses, and non-profits Saturday, January 14th to celebrate our local art scene. This popular event is free and open to everyone! GALVESTON MUSEUM DAY Visitors to Galveston will be able to start their new year off with a glimpse into the Island’s storied past during Galveston Museum Day taking place Jan. 28-29, 2023. The event will feature free and discounted admission to Galveston-area museums. During Museum Day, visitors can learn about Galveston’s place as one of the wealthiest cities in the United States during the late 1800s, the powerful families who helped build the city, Galveston’s significance to immigration in the region and the importance of the industries that keep Galveston thriving. THE TRADITION OF THE PINK PIG PARADE CONTINUES! The Kindergarten classes of Mrs. Fields & Mrs. Buergler carried on a time-honored tradition at TES by having the Pink Pig Parade this morning! This parade symbolizes the work these Kindergarten students have put in to learn the letter "P"! We think they are some pretty cute piglets!

CLOTHES FOR THE 'STROS DAY ON MONDAY, OCTOBER 24TH In supportive celebratory observance of our home-team's exceptional season, our Head of School has designated Monday, October 24, 2022, as "Clothes for the 'Stros Day" at Trinity Episcopal School. SECOND HEAD OF SCHOOL CANDIDATE VISITS TRINITY NEXT WEEK We are fortunate to welcome Mark Fallo to our campus next week (October 26-28) as a finalist for our Head of School position! Mr. Fallo has had a 33-year career in education, with 28 of those years in Episcopal schools. He most recently served 16 years as the Head of School at St. Nicholas School in Chattanooga, Tennessee. SIXTH GRADERS EXPERIENCE THE STONE AGE! Our sixth graders in Mrs. Higgins's class recently had a memorable experience during their "People of the Stone Age" lesson. The students had to search for water (peanuts) and once they had an ample water supply (5 peanuts), they could then gather/hunt food (candy). They had ten minutes to get water and food or they didn't survive. Thank you, Mrs. Higgins, for making history come alive!
PTO LUAU IS ONE WEEK AWAY! Please mark your calendars for Friday, September 9th for our annual PTO Luau. Additionally, we will have a SPECIAL DRESS DAY - Wednesday, September 7th! All students may wear Hawaiian/Luau-themed, tropical, or bright colored school-appropriate clothing to celebrate the Back to School Luau which will be held Friday, September 9th! Participation is optional. TRINITY EPISCOPAL CHURCH FAMILY MOVIE NIGHT Our final summer family movie night will take place TONIGHT, August 19th at 7:00 p.m. in Upper Eaton Hall. We will be watching Disney's "A Wrinkle in Time." Hotdogs, assorted chips, popcorn, water, tea, and lemonade will be available! Bring your own soft drinks if desired. There will be chairs set up, but feel free to bring a blanket or bean bag chair for the kids! (Pajamas are okay too!)

TES SCORES MULTIPLE "IWRITE" WINNERS We were recently notified that several of our TES students were chosen winners of the iWrite Competation, which is a Texas non-profit that promotes childrens' writing. They aim to break the Guiness Book of Worldl Records for the largest book in the world by kids. The students below will be published in the 2022 "I am Texas" book. They had a great time rediscovering photos and memories from that time period.
TRINITY STUDENTS PERFORMING IN "PETER PAN" We would like to invite you to Galveston Ballet's production of "Peter Pan" on Saturday, May 28 at 7 pm and Sunday, May 29 at 3 pm. MAY FÊTE 2022: THE SKY IS THE LIMIT WAS A BLAST! We zoomed on a rocket ship while having the best day of our lives, then levitated on top of the world, had high hopes, and went out with a bang! It was our pleasure to have the full Trinity community in attendance and bring this event back full force. A huge thank you to faculty & staff, parent volunteers, and each of our amazing performers. It takes a whole village to produce this event. Congratulations to our May Fête King & Queen, Bobby Mascorro & Sofia Tovar. We wish our outgoing 5th grade class the best of luck in Middle School!
A BEAUTIFUL LESLIE OTTO FLOWER SHOW Thank you so much for all of your flower donations and to the parent volunteers who assembled our wreaths. The Garth looked beautiful and we know Leslie would be proud! We appreciate all of our students for keeping this Trinity tradition alive. You can drive by the garth and view all of the wreaths as they will be left up until Tuesday, May 10.
