Dear Families and Friends of Trinity,
The Trinity Episcopal Community is a community of love. The people of our community keep us grounded in what is important in life. I recognize that every moment is an opportunity; with every new day, we experience a sense of belonging to something very special and bigger than ourselves. The children of Trinity demonstrate this to me daily. This community helps me to recognize that no one person is bigger, better, or more important than another. In our sixty-five years of existence, the Trinity community has stepped up time and time again to ensure those that surround us are safe, secure and feeling very special. We would be honored to share this community with your family.
Last Friday, students brought home an invitation to be given to their Grandparents or Special friend. We are asking our parents to make an invitation or use the one given to you last week in the Friday Folder. You can make this a family project by your child creating or handwriting an invitation. Trinity would like to share all that we do on our campus with your child’s grandparent or Special Friend this Valentine’s Day.
Our Grandparents’/Special Friends’ Day will be held Wednesday, February 14th beginning with an Ash Wednesday Eucharist Service and ending with your child’s Grandparent/Special Friend visiting the classroom. This is an opportunity for Grandparents/Special friends to visit the school and share in the lives of their grandsons and granddaughters. This is a half-day of school and a noon dismissal. We will permit children to go home with their Grandparent/Special friend beginning at 11:00.
Tentative Schedule for Grandparent/Special Friend:
8:15 Ash Wednesday Eucharist
9:15 Reception: Robert L. and Ann Moody Activity Center (Students return to class)
10:30 Grandparent/Special Friend to visit classroom/s
11:15 Students may begin to dismiss with Grandparent/Special Friend
12:00 Dismissal
- Grandparent “stand-ins” are welcome.
- Children who will have neither a grandparent nor a surrogate grandparent present should still be in attendance. We will provide opportunities for all students to honor and celebrate the senior members of their families.
- Beginning School (PK2-PK4) Grandparents’ Day information will be distributed separately.
- Past experience has shown that few grandparents of Middle School (Grades 6-8) are in attendance on this day, but all are certainly welcome.
With Warm Regards,
Mark Ravelli / Head of School
