Monday Message 5/20

May 20, 2019

Dear Trinity Families and Friends,

This week our eighth grade students will make their final recessional down the center aisle of the church. They will be surrounded by many classmates who have been looking up to them for years now saying “goodbye and good luck.”

“Love one another” is a day-to-day occurrence on this campus. Our students are ingrained with this motto to carry with them throughout the summer months and beyond. Words do sink in. Prayers are for ever-widening circles of others — family, friends, neighbors, church, nation, world, poor, sick, and those in any type of trouble. In the words of Saint Francis, we are reminded daily at school, “It is in giving that we receive.”

Singing in chapel together has immediate positive physical benefits; it calms, spreads oxygen in the body, elevates the mood — the melody locks in the memory of the words. The words offer joy, wonder, and consolation. Children of all faiths are welcomed at Trinity, Buddhist, Hindu, Jewish, Sikh, Christian, Muslim, Methodist, Mormon, Roman Catholic, non-denominational — all have attended Trinity and participated in chapel. Trinity, as a school, is exceptional in offering this daily experience and our students know that they are loved.

God Bless the Class of 2019. Go in peace to know, love and serve the Lord.
