FACULTY SPOTLIGHT Meet Mrs. Theresa Pistone Mrs. Pistone was born and raised on the mainland and moved to the island at age 17 to attend Texas A&M University in Galveston. Here, she met her husband of 43 years, Michael, where they raised their children, Mandy and Katie, in the community they love. Mrs. Pistone has 40 years of experience in education. For 30 years, she served in Galveston ISD in various roles. She enjoyed teaching in elementary classrooms (7 years), recruiting and hiring teachers in Human Resources (13 years), and helping to build the instructional technology infrastructure and teacher training in MIS (10 years). Upon retirement, she was recruited to teach at Trinity Episcopal School - her dream job! She was finally able to blend her love for the classroom and technology. During her ten years at Trinity, she is most proud of the progress we have made in building a strong technology infrastructure, bringing technology to teachers for their instructional delivery, and most recently implementing the "Bring Your Own Device" program for students in grades 4-8. She applauds her peers for embracing technology in their classrooms so professionally, and she would like to thank the administration, the school board, and our Trinity parents for their vision and support in making Trinity a true 21st Century school. Thank you, Mrs. Pistone, for all that you do to make Trinity a wonderful place! |
