Last Chance-Music Event Offer: The Galveston Symphony (GSO) is offering free tickets to TES students for their upcoming concert, Sunday, February 11, 4:00PM Grand 1894 Opera House, 2020 Postoffice Street. Each student can invite one adult to accompany them. Families who are interested should send an email to Alice O’Quinn (aliceoquinn@gmail.com) to reserve tickets by February 8. -–Laura Hyatt, Music

New Sibling/Faculty-Staff Enrollment: Open registration begins Tuesday, February 13. However, new siblings as well as first time faculty/staff children will have priority until February 26. If you have not already completed an online inquiry form, please do so as soon as possible by visiting the “Admissions” tab on our school’s website. This will get the prospective student in our system and start the process. If you have any questions regarding this process, email the Admissions Office at admissions@tesgalv.org. – TLW

Middle School Cheerleading Information: Cheerleading tryouts are around the corner! Interested in trying out? If you are currently in grades 5-7th, come to Mrs. Wisner’s room on February 7, 3:30 to get a tryout packet as well as a look into what is required to be a Charger Cheerleader. Can’t make it? Please send an email to either Mrs. Frye or Mrs. Wisner so you can get the tryout packet. FYI tryouts are February 26-March 2nd. Cheers! -Stephanie Frye, Cheer Sponsor and Coach

TES Public Relations Team: Reminder, if you have not already done so, please consider taking a moment this weekend to invite a family to our Open House event using the TES Open House postcard that was previously sent home. We appreciate your support.-TLW

School Holiday Approaching: TES will be closed on Monday, February 19, for Presidents’ Day.

Grandparents’ & Special Friends Day/Ash Wednesday: The Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion will be offered at school Chapel on Wednesday, February 14, at 8:15 AM. This begins the Season of Lent, and the ashes are an outward sign that, without God, we are only dust. Students in grades K-8 should wear “Dress” Chapel Uniform on Ash Wednesday. Chapel will not be held on Thursday. As always, parents are invited to join us for worship. A reception for Grandparents & Special Friends will enjoy a reception in the MAC immediately following the service. Students will begin dismissal with their guest at 11 AM.
