Music Event Offer: The Galveston Symphony (GSO) is offering free student tickets to Trinity Episcopal School for the performances. Each student can invite up to 2 adults to accompany them. All families who are interested should send an email to Alice O’Quinn (aliceoquinn@gmail.com) to reserve tickets. The next symphony is today at 4:00PM, the Grand 1894 Opera House, 2020 Postoffice Street. Tickets will be available for pick up one hour before curtain (3:00) in Edna’s Room. –Laura Hyatt, Music Director

Spirit Day: Students are permitted to dress in “Spirit” dress. Students may wear TES spirit shirts with jeans or khaki bottoms. Students electing not to wear spirit gear should be in the usual school uniform. This is not a “free” dress. Please follow the rules so that we can continue this tradition. –Amy Gaido, Asst. Spring Event Planning Meeting, 8:30AM or 12PM in Kelso Library. We are calling for volunteers. We’re celebrating 65 years! The TES spring fundraising event is scheduled for April 2018 and we need your help to organize and plan an event worthy of this milestone. Luau Dress Day: Students may wear luau themed attire. Footwear as usual, socks and tennis shoes. Students not in luau themed attire should wear usual uniform dress.
7th grade goes kayaking with Artist Boat, 9AM-2PM
TES Family Night 5:00-6:00PM. Please make plans to come get a glimpse of what your child does at TES and build community with us.
PTO Back-To-School Luau will follow at 6:00-7:30PM on the playground
Housekeeping Notes
Report Cards: The first nine weeks grading period has closed. Report cards will be sent home on Monday, October 16.
Music Lessons: We are pleased to announce that additional independent music lessons will be offered for students interested in learning string instruments and percussion. Instructions are available for but not limited to the following instruments: guitar, ukulele, bass and percussion.
