SAFEGUARDING GOD’S CHILDREN – Sign-up Deadline: Monday, February 18th

Trinity Episcopal School will have a Safeguarding God’s Children class on Tuesday, February 26th at 6:00 pm in Kelso Library Anyone who wants to volunteer on campus or fieldtrips needs to be Safeguarding God’s Children (SGC) certified. People are not added to the class until they complete all of the steps: interview, application, and background checkSTEPS to ATTEND You cannot show up on the day of the class to be certified without completing these steps. Rachel Brown will be the contact person for completing the steps and registering for the class. Please message Mrs. Rachel Brown at rbrown@tesgalv.org to reserve your space BY MONDAY, February 18th. If you are unable to attend the February class, we will offer another class on campus sometime this summer. You are also welcome to check the Diocese website and find an open class at another church/school. Safeguarding is a 5-year certification. If you would like to check your SGC status, please contact Rachel Brown at rbrown@tesgalv.org Volunteers are responsible for the cost of their background check.

Mark your calendars, our annual Mardi Gras Parade will be Friday, March 1st starting at 11:30.  To make this parade successful we need your beads.  Please group the beads by 10 and wrap a strip of paper around them to make it easy for the children to pass out.

S.P.A.R.Q. TRAINING

Coach Johnson will be hosting a SPARQ Camp for students interested in working with Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness. Grades K-8 are welcome.

Sessions will be 3-4 pm on MONDAYS. All participating students will join the Extended Day group at 3:00 pm dismissal and will go with Coach Johnson from there.  Pick up your student at 4:00 pm in the MAC with Extended Day.

It will be a FUN experience regardless of age with a variety of drills!

Session Dates: 2/11, 2/25, 3/4, 3/18

COST: $35 for all 4 sessions or $10 per session. Please make payment to TES and reference SPARQ Training.

The Galveston’s Top 50 annual awards are one of Galveston’s finest traditions. Each year, schools in the community nominate their top students for the honor. Since 1977 the Galveston Academic Excellence Club has recognized 50 young people who have pursued excellence in academic studies. In 2018, how many of the Top 50 are Trinity Episcopal graduates?
