We are so impressed with our Trinity community and the way our teachers and staff strive to "be the inspiration!" We will keep highlighting all of the great things happening in our Charger family. We have created a Distance Learning Photo Album, which will be continuously updated - CLICK HERE TO VIEW! This week, we feature 2nd Grade:

The second graders have jumped right into virtual learning. We are truly proud of all their hard work and amazed at how quickly they’ve adapted. Our hearts ache that we can’t be with our students, so we have tried our best to cultivate connection during this time of physical distancing. The first week we assigned the students a pen pal in the class to write and send a letter to. The kids loved hearing about what their friends did for spring break and how they were doing. We’ve also initiated Fun Friday Zooms. They are geared towards allowing the kids time to catch up and see each other – sort of like recess online! Next week, we will launch our Passion Project. The students will have the opportunity to dig into a topic that they are passionate about.  Our hope is that it will serve as an independent project that will reinvigorate our students’ motivation and can be shared with their peers.

We are so very grateful for our phenomenal parents that are supporting our students along the way in this online learning endeavor. They’ve been documenting their child’s learning, sending pictures of our students taking learning into their own hands by reading, doing science experiments, being mathematicians, creating and exploring! The parents have been instrumental in providing excellent lesson ideas, feedback, and fun activities. Our tribe has pulled together and as teachers, we are encouraged. Thank you! - Mrs. Krinock and Mrs. Powell

Lacey Higgins (7th grade, 3rd place) and Rosa Koplin (6th grade, Honorable Mention) -  have been awarded prizes in the Moody Mansion 125th Anniversary Art Competition. TES Alum Shaifer Goalen won 2nd place in the high school category. Their work will be displayed in the Moody Mansion upon their reopening. Until then, a video virtual tour of all entries will be available on the Moody Mansion website within the next few weeks. Thank you to all students who entered the competition; Mrs. Noyes is so proud of all of you!

We all need a break from bad news… it’s time to have fun! For your listening enjoyment, we’ve put together the following selection of playlists. We’d love to listen your playlist too, send them our way! *playlists intended for grownups only are labeled as such, please take note*

We are asking Trinity students to take the time to write a note to doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists, etc. to thank them for their heroism and bravery.   There will be a big box at the carport door and parents can just drop the thank you letters in the box. I will check the box periodically to collect the letters on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Wednesday at noon will be the deadline and then I will deliver.  Thank you, Debbie Kelemen (dlk1954@sbcglobal.net)

Please click here to view the Spring Edition of the Grandparent Newsletter emailed to grandparents yesterday; it is our hope that this form of digital connectivity provides comfort in these uncertain times we face together.

The newsletter was sent to email addresses submitted for Grandparents' Day invitations, if you did not submit your folks' emails, feel free to do so (send to cknauer@tesgalv.org) and we will share the message and link with them.
