THIRD GRADE PROJECTS ARE OUT OF THIS WORLD!

TES third graders had a ton of fun learning about the Solar System over the last two weeks. They were captivated looking beyond our amazing planet and gaining a further appreciation for the rest of the Solar System, and they had the opportunity to create a 3D Solar System project at home. Mrs. Wisner and Mrs. Rushing were thrilled with their creativity and thinking outside the box.

S.P.A.R.Q.

Coach Johnson is leading S.P.A.R.Q. Clinics on Fridays at 3-4 p.m. in the MAC. These clinics will focus on your child’s Speed, Power, Agility, Reaction, and Quickness. All students from 1st-8th may attend. Students will be socially distanced and given workouts that parallel their age/grade. Each student can expect a fun challenge at every clinic. Cost is $10/session with payment made to TES or to be billed by the school. Please email Coach Jeremy Johnson for more information (jjohnson@tesgalv.org).

CHESS SCHOLARS

Students are invited to join Coach Johnson's Chess Scholars program. The program is tailored for both the experienced chess player and the novice, and students of all levels are welcome to participate. Masking, social distancing, and disinfecting policies will be followed. The cost is $15 per class.

Meetings are 3-4 p.m. on Wednesdays and dismissal is at 4 p.m from the MAC. If you have any questions, please email Coach Jeremy Johnson (jjohnson@tesgalv.org).

Meet Ms. Patti Muniz

Ms. Patti Muniz works in our Beginning School as a teacher in the PK3 class. She is a BOI, although she spent the first seven years of her life growing up in Michigan. She attended island parochial schools (St Patrick's and she graduated from O'Connell High School.) She has two sons in college and a precious granddaughter. Ms. Patti has worked in early childhood for over 25 years and held many positions in the field such as director, consultant, trainer, and teacher, and she received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Houston Clear Lake. Her passion is to leave a positive imprint in the early years of a child's life that helps to create a solid foundation for success in school and a love of learning.
