THANK YOU, TES PTO, FOR A WONDERFUL LUAU!

Thank you to all the families who came out to our annual PTO Luau last Friday! We had a blast and so did the kids. It is events like these that make our community so special. We want to thank PTO President Sarah Sullivan and her team of volunteers for organizing a fabulous evening. See you at our next PTO outing!

In anticipation of Friday's luau, Music Teacher Mrs. Sims taught a lesson on Hawaiian instruments. Students learned about clapping with coconut shells, how a Pahu Drum is constructed, and Mrs. Sims showed them her Uli Uli  rattles (seen in the photo). They are feathered gourds filled with seeds and wrapped in rattan. They learned the refrain of a song about a Coconut ("Niu" in Hawaiian) Tree and played a choreographed sequence with rhythm sticks. It was a fun class!

UPDATED COVID POLICY

COVID Exposures: Masks are encouraged, but not required, for individuals who have been exposed to COVID.

COVID Positives: Individuals who test positive for COVID are required to follow the CDC’s 5-Day Isolation guidelines. The first day of symptoms should be counted as Day Zero. Individuals should continue to isolate if symptoms have not improved, or if they have worsened, by Day 5. Isolation should continue until individuals are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medicine. Upon return to school, individuals must wear a mask through Day 10 but can opt out if one tests negative on Day 6 or thereafter.

PLEASE HELP US MAKE CARPOOL SAFE & EFFICIENT

We want our Trinity families to experience a carpool system that is the best it can be for our three campuses. Please review our Carpool Procedures document attached to this email for our most updated system. If we all work together, we can make carpool run smoothly!

CHESS CLUB BEGINS NEXT WEEK!

Coach Johnson is returning to our campus for a 5-week Chess course after-school from 3-4 on Tuesdays. This is a great course for both beginners and experienced players, alike. There will be a tournament to conclude the course. Rules, maneuvers, and strategies to be taught. Regardless of your child’s level of play they will learn and have fun at the same time. Children are encouraged to attend even if hesitant to try out a game that young and old can enjoy. (All grades K-8 are invited.) Cost is $12/session. Parents will be billed by TES at conclusion of course. The first meeting will be on 9/19 and will meet for 5 consecutive Tuesdays (9/19-10/17). Students should be picked up at the MAC entrance at 4 pm. If students are not picked up at 4 pm, they will check into Extended Day for an additional fee. FOCUS FOR THIS SESSION OF CHESS MASTERS IS END OF GAME MANEUVERS.
