FACULTY SPOTLIGHT Meet Annie Blancken We are thrilled to have Mrs. Blancken, our new music/choir teacher at TES! Annie Byrom Blancken is a BOI who was raised in Austin but came back to Galveston as fast as she could! Annie’s mom, Sally Byrom, was a teacher at Trinity when Annie was born, so being a Trinity charger runs in the family! Annie has a bachelor’s degree in music education from Baylor University and a master's in choral conducting from The University of Texas at Austin. She has been a teacher for 12 years and has taught choir and musical theater for middle and high school. Annie has performed in many professional singing organizations, including the Houston Chamber Choir and Chorus Austin. She loves spending time with her family, especially her husband Mark and son Jackson who is a kindergartener at Trinity. |
