NEWS YOU CAN USE

VOLUNTEER REMINDER

All parent volunteers must be currently certified in Safeguarding God’s Children.  Certification is valid for 5 years. The deadline for signing up for our fall training is Wednesday, September 5th. If you need to get certified, or if you have any questions about the expiration of a previous certification, please email Rachel Brown at rbrown@tesgalv.org. Thank you!

VOLUNTEER IN THE LIBRARY ON WEDNESDAYS

Weekly sessions in the Leslie Otto Library will begin for grades K-5 on Wednesday, September 5th. Volunteers have the opportunity to read to students, stock, and sort books, and assist students in checking out.  Morning and afternoon shifts are available. Please contact Lynsey Ginsberg at lynseyginsberg@hotmail.com

MUSIC LESSONS

In order to offer further opportunities for enrichment, Clark Duhon is pleased to offer music lessons for those students and parents interested in learning string and percussion instruments. Family lessons are available. Lessons will be held on campus and can be arranged during P.E., recess, lunch, or after school. For pricing, information and scheduling please contact Clark Duhon at cwd_psych@yahoo.com or 409-750-1627.

Piano Lessons are available on campus during regular school hours. If you have a piano at home and would like to hear beautiful music coming from that piano, please contact Ms. Georgeann Strong at gespiano@yahoo.com or 409-795-0588.

ON CAMPUS TUTORING

New this year, we have a private tutor on campus. Debbie Kelemen, a former Trinity teacher, is available during regular school hours for enrichment and curriculum support. For availability and pricing, please contact Mrs. Kelemen at dlk1954@sbcglobal.net.

TRINITY TRIVIA

The gorgeous giant stained-glass window over the altar in the Trinity Sanctuary was made by Louis Comfort Tiffany in 1904. Can you tell me how many stained-glass windows are located in the chapel? (find the answer in next week’s W.A.G.)
